After pursuing a Fine Arts degree at York University, Manuel Rodenkirchen developed a fascination with photography as the art director of magazines such as Flare, Images and T.O. magazine. He has produced several campaigns for Absolut Vodka, including a collaboration with John Fluvog on an Absolut shoe that is now in the Bata Shoe Museum. His work has won numerous awards including an international Graphis Poster award.
He currently lives in Ontario’s beautiful Prince Edward County and is an avid gardener. Combining flowers, vegetables and his own bent-wood structures, his 12-acre “Melon Hill” property is unique and interesting. Winter gardening in unheated row covers provides fresh, organic vegetables year-round.
